After a two-year pause due to COVID, Wild Waterworks is excited to be reopening this year! Staff are getting the park ready for the 2022 season, with an opening date expected to be toward the end of June. Staff are thrilled to reopen and welcome guests back to enjoy our attractions this summer.
With a province-wide lifeguard shortage, Wild Waterworks will be adjusting its operations this year. As explained by Sara Kinnear, Manager of Wild Waterworks, “The pandemic has meant two years of very little lifeguard training and expiring certifications on top of that, making fewer lifeguards available. Shortages of all kinds are commonplace these days, and now, lifeguards are in short supply to start the summer, impacting many facilities.” Due to staff shortages, the park will operate five days per week, Wednesdays through Sundays, from 11 AM to 7 PM, weather permitting. Wild Waterworks will also open on the Civic Holiday on Monday, August 1, and Labour Day on Monday, September 5.
Tickets and season passes will be available for purchase online before opening day. Information and announcements will be posted on wild-waterworks.com, Facebook and Instagram as soon as it is confirmed.
Ollie’s Landing and Waves food concessions will also be operating. Visitors are reminded that they are permitted to bring in food and drink, subject to facility rules.
Wild Waterworks looks forward to reopening as Hamilton’s best spot for summer fun for all ages!
