Important things to note before applying to Wild Waterworks:

  • All new and returning staff are required to attend mandatory training sessions throughout May and June, as well asbi-weekly in-season training
  • Must have the ability to work up to 35 hours per week, weather depending.
  • Must have the ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Positions require outdoor work for extended periods of time in various weather conditions including heat and humidity
  • Criminal Records and Judicial Matters check is required for all positions and must be submitted prior to commencing work

FULL-TIME SEASONAL LIFEGUARDS

Starting Wage: $20.27

Up to 60 full-time seasonal Lifeguards are required to perform various lifeguarding duties at Wild Waterworks

  • 15 years of age or older
  • Current National Lifeguard certificate
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certificate
  • All candidates for a Lifeguard, Aquatic Team Leader, and Aquatic Supervisor, including returning staff, must successfully pass an NL Skills Screening as part of the hiring process. National Lifeguard skills assessed will include: endurance challenge, sprint challenge, object recovery, management of a distressed or drowning victim, and management of a submerged non-breathing victim. Skills must meet the minimum Lifesaving Society National Lifeguard standard, using a pass/fail rating.

FULL-TIME SEASONAL WATER PARK ATTENDANTS

Starting Wage: $17.45

Up to 25 full-time seasonal Water Park Attendants are required to operate and dispatch riders in a safe manner, following all safety regulations provided

  • 14 years of age or older
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certificate
  • Current Bronze Medallion or Bronze Cross certificate considered an asset

FULL-TIME SEASONAL MAINTENANCE & LAWN CARE STAFF

Starting Wage: $17.45

Up to 12 full-time seasonal Maintenance Staff are required to perform cleaning and disinfection of all areas, park maintenance, grounds keeping and janitorial duties throughout Wild Waterworks.

1 Lawn Care Staff is required to ensure all areas of the park and grounds are cut and trimmed. Use of a riding mower, weed whacker, and push mower are required throughout the 6 Hectare Property.

  • Assist with pre-season preparation of Wild Waterworks (end of April start)
  • Standard First Aid and CPR considered an asset
  • Previous maintenance and cleaning duties considered an asset
